I just purchased a 2005 Excursion 4x4 and I would like to know what is the widest size tire that I can fit without rubbing or having to lift? I cant have the ex get any taller because I am already very close to hitting roof on garage. I would change rims if need be. |

265/75/16 is a 31.50x10.50 x16
285/75/16 is a 33 x 10.50 x 16
305/70/16 is a 33 x 12.50 x 16
315/75/16 is a 35 x 12.50 x 16
Stock rim is a 16x7 Maybe going to a 16x8 will stretch the factory sized tire out a little with out losing your use of the garage. A 285/75/16 is the widest on a stock X
Paul....Welcome to the site and congrats on the new X

I have 305/70/16 on the stock rims on my 04' Limited. I only drove the truck for a day before I put the 2" lift on it but I had no tire rub at the stock height.
