I´m hoping to install a Pioneer active subwoofer in my 2001 7,3 Excursion Limited, and was wondering if there is a audio out and remote wire on the back of the 6 CD changer? Or if i may have to change the player just to install the sub? |

Welcome to the Excursion Forums Endre'
On the back of the Ford factory CD6 stereo is just the standard 4 channel speaker outs within a proprietary 16 pin plug and no audio RCA outs as you'd typically find on an aftermarket stereo.
A local Excursion friend of mine pulled out his stock stereo w/speakers out in favor for an Eclipse stereo & aftermarket speakers with rear door subwoofers, therefor I'd suggest going with an aftermarket w/subs to get the best audio quality
