When I open the doors, the door ajar light does NOT come on, and neither do the courtesy lights. I checked the fuses and relays, all looks good.
I read all the threads on this, and I WD-40'd all the door latches, etc, still does not come on. The lights themselves work fine, and if I take the cover off the relay and push the copper part of the realy together (to complete the circuit) all the courtesy lights come on.

Question - if one door ajar switch goes bad does it cause them ALL to fail? (or should I be able to tell which one is bad by just ONE door causing the Door AJAR light to NOT come on?)

If they all fail because one is bad - how then do I know which door is bad or do you have to replace them all?

Any help or troubleshooting steps would be greatly appreciated

You have 6 door ajar switches on 4 different circuits. Each front door has its own circuit, then the pair of rear doors are on a single circuit, and the liftgate gets its own circuit (the liftgate has 2 door ajar switches inside) As far as why they're NOT coming on, I'm stumped. The usual problem is that they come on when you don't want them to. BTW, the 4 curcuits do not share a common ground. Relay? I did not see a relay in my 2001 factory wiring diagram.

Did you buy your X used? And if so, have the door ajar switches ever worked for you? If not, there's a slight possibility that a previous owner may have clipped a few wires when he got annoyed with them coming on infrequently. I know the problem used to aggravate me something fierce.

Without a doubt if the fuse is okay then one or more of the latches are sticking in the off but all four plus the rear hatch, might have to do a trace of the wiring to see where the circuit is ending, perhaps there's a molex plug for that circuit came unplugged somewhere in the routing in between the fuse and the switches??
