I have noticed the clearcoat is peeling on my hood. I was told it is defect in the paint. Should I go to any ford dealership to resolve this. I bought my EX at a used dealership with warranty, and the warranty does not cover paint unfortunately! I have a 2001 6.8L V10 with 45,000 in it. What should I do? |

Certainly wouldn't hurt to go talk to a dealer....
all they can say is no...
or it will cost $500 to repaint... or something like that....
Maybe this is the "excuse" to get that new cowl hood that looks so great on there ?!?!?!

I have the same problem with my 2000 X. The white paint peeling off leaving the gold colored primer showing. Ford does nothing. I have tried
