I just bought the other day the Edge Evolution programmer. I bought it to increase my fuel economy. Well I am not towing anything at the moment and my X is stock. I programmed it for the lowest mode which increases the HP by 60 and increases the torque. Well so far I don't want to believe my computer until I go through a complete tank of diesel. But right now when I was getting about 16-17 in the city I am getting about 26-27 with the program running. Also before running at about 65 mph I could get about 20-21, and now I am getting about 33-34. Like I have said I have not run through an entire tank of gas yet to check the numbers but if the on board computer is even close, WOW has it improved my gas mileage. I hope it is true because if so this will help the pocket book on the old diesel.
Other then that I just put the rear sway bar on and some RS9000x shocks. But I am embarassed to admit I found out we put the fronts on up side down, with a slight modification to the inner sleeve on the shock they fit fine. We thought it would be nice to adjust the dial from the top of the wheel well. I spoke to Rancho and they said a lot of off road guys run it this way but for normal high way driving it wouldn't be as smooth. The way the air sits in there since it is upside down it doesn't let the shock work too well for what it was designed to do. In the extreme off roading the shock even while traveling up side down has enough shock movement that it will purge any air that is trapped in the shock from it being up side down. So after work today guess what I am doing on the front shocks....

Congrats on the new Evo,it's what I'll be replacing my SCMT with this summer

Once you have other than stock programming in your truck(Superduties included) hand calculation is the only reliable way to determine true MPG readings, the overhead guessometer,lie-o-meter,etc is pretty undependable all the time.

There was a member that had seen the same numbers on the overhead after the tuner was installed then did a hand calculation which came out with the real numbers.

Upgrade your intake filter and exhaust(system,BTM,straight pipe, etc) for even better results

If you tow definitely get a set of gauges to monitor the EGT and boost numbers.

NO bigge about the shocks there poormonkey....

I find I can adjust the fronts easily by turning the wheel and reaching around the side of the tire....
