Brian I've never heard of the bark term except for tires maybe it was a backfire?

On my 5.0 once in a great great while the starter will kick back when starting the engine which makes a sorta bark sound but was really not concerned about it.

My X does that occassionally when it was shut down and then started back up the next day with the A/C on, right when she fires up it sometimes makes a loud sorta of backfire/barking sound. I have no clue what it is...?
