Hi

I currently have a 20017.3l PSD 4x4 Ecursion, I tow a 37' 12,000lb travel trailer and I have severe squat in the rear of my Ex .
When I first got the Ex I had a local spring shop install a set of underspring helpers and a set of Timbrens and added a leaf to the front. I'm finding that the rear springs still are on the weak side, I have a difficult time equalizing my hitch. Has anyone installed a set of f-350 springs? if so do you have the part numbers, and how many leafs are there?

Thanks
Jay

The squatting effect of the rear springs I'm not keen with either when we tow

What I know about the SuperDuty rear springs is that they are a straight swap with the Excursion springs.

The stock Excursion springs have a capacity of 5,200 lbs,the Superduty springs on the F250 are 6,000 lbs(A code) and the F350's are 6,800 lbs(B code)

I'm hoping to pick up a set of A codes on our return trip from California early next month to replace our broke in stock springs/F350 blocks with the correct spring code

This would explain why my F350 barely squats when I load my 25' tandem dual with a 310 4X4 backhoe!

Jay I installed the F350 blocks due to the stock rear springs had "relaxed" in abit faster than anticipated and want to avoid the nose up posture when in tow as that can wreak havoc on a front end

My X squats with the new camper I got this spring. Too much for my comfort zone.

I was thinking about air springs like thishttp://www.drivetrain.com/superduty.html.

Those or Firestone Ride-Rites will work well

Hi
Just an update

I had a set of 3000lb rear springs for a F-350 SW installed I thought the 4400lb set would really be too hard.

The spring shop had to re-arch the new spring,, raised the rear by almost 3" way too much. They left my under helpers in place and replace the bottom under helper leaf old one was way too weak and not doing much.

With the new springs in the truck sits perfect, when I hook my trailer up it drops about 1/2", I have to re-adjust spring bars on hitch and all should be good, thats tomorrows project.

Cost me a little over $500 and worth every penny!
