Is it possible to identify features of an Excursion by the VIN number?
I know with my '98 Crown Vic, P71 in the VIN indicates it has a police package...
There's an '02, V8 with 82000 going up for GSA auction in Orlando next month.
VIN# 1FMNU40S72EC86224
XLT, XLS, 2wd, 4wd, fleet?
Their GSA auction office doesn't have the vehicle info. GRRRRRRR.
Thanks for your help!!!

I've been shopping X's and have a subscription to AutoCheck. It shows this one as an '02 Excursion XLT V-10. Nothing beyond that. Hope that helps! |

It's been accurate for me on quite a few checks so far. I just bought an '02 XLT V-10 and it's not badged as a V-10 as I've seen some other Ford vehicles. Their oversight could be your gain if it keeps the bidding low. Good luck! I may try to compare some VIN's and see if I can decode the engine in there. |
