Just bought a 2005 4x4 Limited Powerstroke. I'm excited about putting an exhaust/air intake on it but wanted to get opinions on the Edge Juice. Has anyone had experience with it? I don't pull anything and drive it like a cream puff - is it worth the $ to have the power and gauges to monitor boost, etc.
Any thoughts are appreciated.

Eric if you're not going be towing and keeping the additional programming under 60HP I'd say no to gauges but anything over that Yes on gauges. The Boost gauge is a handy tool as you'll be able to monitor any problems with boost tube leaks and overall turbocharger performance..
The Pyrometer is essential for Moderate/High power programs, towing and drag racing.
The Tranny gauge is essential for towing and overall temperature monitoring.
I have Autometer Pyro and Boost gauges on our Excursion.
One of the guys started a thread on Edge products at SDD that might be worth a gander Bill

Bill,
Any suggestions on a local shop here in Mckinney/Plano/Richarson that does good work on exhaust installs and mounting gauges?
Thanks,
Erich |
