Well its time for me to change my own oil. The dealer changed it at 5000, no charge. I am now at 10,000 miles and want to change my own oil. I used to have 2000 Ex with a v10 and generally knew my way around gas engines. Where can I get instructions for my 6.0 turbo . I have a book I bought on the 2000 v10 but that does me no good. I am also concerned about draining the oil, my little catch pan was for about 5 quarts. I hear this engine takes 15. what do I use to catch the old oil. Thanks, Mark

Sorry for the delay in my reply there K

As Eric mentioned 15 quarts will do ya on 7.3L engines.

I been using Tractor Supply 15w-40 oil and Purolator Oil Filters(identical to Motocraft inside/out) we picked up some four gallons of Walmart 15w-40 Diesel engine oil for the next change based on excellent oil test lab reports from 7.3 owners
