Sine you are not the original owner, have you requested (bought) a CarFax report to see if there are any "documented" accidents involving your X? Also, have you looked at the cabin's sheet metal from underneath your X to see if there's any obvious/visible damage there?

Carfax report is clean.

I have looked underneath and do not see anything, but that's why I"m now going to consult a body shop to see what they say. Maybe I'm just not seeing something obvious.

If the seats are by any chance parallel to each other, could the console be what' s leaning?

Well, that 's my next swap. I'm going to pull the console from my F350 and put it into the Excursion and see how it sits. They are almost identical, except the excursion console has the extra panel on the back for the radio controls so it should bolt right up.

Hopefully between that & the body shop I come up with something, or I am just going to eBay and find something else.
