Hello all, long time no talk. I know that lots of poeple have complained about the creaking noise under the floor boards and it's caused by the cab mount bushings. One posted fix was to install some poly shims between the bushing and the body. I did that last year and it fixed it for a while. Now it's back, and it gets worse the hotter it gets. I've tried numerous times to pull the shims out and clean/lube them up, but it doesn't make a bit of difference. Just squirting some WD40 around the bushing used to temporarily quite it down. Seems like something else is making the noise, and it's driving me insane! Anyone else have this issue? Thanks!

Matt,
I have tried every Jack leg engineering attempt on mine and finally found a solution---ummm for the moment. My noise was coming from the bolt contacting the body where it goes through to the upper insulator.Remove the bolt and make a rubber washer to go under the existing washer. I installed a larger metal fender washer under the existing washer and then the rubber washer between it and the inside body opening. Torque to around 60-65 ft-lbs. Do not overtorgue or you can bend the metal around the bolt opening==believe me I know! I made washer from a wheel barrow tire. You need something with some toughness as the body torque on the bolt will wear through light weigt rubber or yes, even plastic. Good luck!!!
