Hi

My 2001, X, 7.3 just stalled on my wife. It missed a few times and then stalled but restarted. Codes read P0683 Glow Plug Control Mod. to PCM and P1280 ICP circuit out of range. Any suggestions??? The ICP has been changed recently.

Thanks

Jim

What was your truck in for to warrant the ICP to be replaced? Was there oil leaking from the connector or was it something else?

How long ago was the ICP replaced?

Hi Bill,

I had replace the ICP as I had a idle problem that turned out to be the TPS. I had the TPS and PCM replace at that time. I'm thinking that this is the Glow Plug Mod. and that made the ICP throw a code. Any thoughts!

I'll review on Sunday what Ford recommends for the stalling issue you're having but I think I do recall seeing something about glow plug controller or relay in there

Shot you an email as well.
