Hey gang, I got a PSD with 60,000 on it. I just changed the front brakes and rotors 2 weeks ago. I

drove the rig to town tonight and there is some kind of grinding and vibrating coming from the rears.

It only does it when I am braking between 15 and 10 MPH! Whatta think?

According to my book here the Grinding noise would be brake pads or linings worn below minimum thickness.

The vibration could be due to uneven brake pad wear, problems with the disc pad transfer travel, the disc/s themselves or possibly something occuring with suspension components to the rear.

Maybe have the rear rotors re-surfaced or turned and install some new pads, that's what I'd try first personally and don't forget to do a full brake system bleed.

My fronts did the same thing for a while. I had them turned and put on new pads. Good for about 2 weeks then the shake came back. Finally went to the dealer and bought Motorcraft rotors. Been fine ever since.
