Hi All,
Anyone has any experience with any suspension shops with you EX in Southern California preferable in the Pasadena or surrounding areas. Also, with some of the shops that i have encountered such as 4 wheel parts they charge almost twice as much as for their parts as places like JC Whitney. How do you approach them if you purchase the parts online and pay them just to do the install? Any suggestions?

Before I'd pay a shop to install those parts I'll bet there's other fellow Excursion owners in the area from the forum that would be neighborly to install them for ya(I know I'd offer if I was visiting)
I believe forum member "KevinsOffroad" may be able to chime in on the subject as he's located in Phoenix

Just to be confusing/annoying:
I would leave the stock sway bar alone for now and put on a set of LANDYOT RADIUS RODS.
I have a 2005 Eddie Bauer/Limited 4X4 PSD with 20K miles already on it, towing, baja, tons of off-road, yadda-yadda. The Radius rods are *amazing*
THE *best* *first* *thing* you *must* do if you want to turn the Ex into a sportscar. sorta ;-) notworthy:
I just got back from the mountains. Amazing...

SOunds great. Who installed your Radius - Rods? I have to admit I am useless when it comes to fixing trucks. Outside of installing a K&N filtercharger I would be useless. My idea of home repair is what contractor can I call.
I have heard many god things about the radius rods. |

Try giving Mike a call at 4x Doctor in Pasadena, John. They've done some installs for a couple of customers of mine and seem happy with their work. I highly recommend T and J performance, but they out in Orange, so call them next if 4x Doctor doesn't work out for you. Do me a favor and tell both of them that Kevin from KevinsOffroad.com in Phoenix suggested you call...I always like to know where the referrals are coming from.

Hi kevin,
thanks for the referal. I will check into them. A local source would be terrific. Would they know what to do with Landyot radius Rods if I were to purchase them from Landyot?
Is there a person at 4x Doctor I should speak with?
thanks

If you print out the instructions, I'm sure that Mike will be able to understand very quickly what's involved and be able to give you a price. They have a fab shop too, so I expect them to be able to bolt on the stuff easily for you and get you right out the door.
If anyone needs assistance in Phoenix, I can certainly be of help too. I have a decent sized shop with a hoist as well.

If you haven't had the work done on your EX yet, there is another "truck shop" in San Dimas just off of the 57 freeway near the Arrow Highway exit. I stopped by a while back and was impressed with their shop. I have'nt used them yet though. I live just 'down the street' for y'all in Sierra Madre.
On the other hand, I have a roommate who used to be a shop manager at one of the Jiffy Lube's in Phoenix. He spends much of his free time making his Mustang go faster. He's good with a wrench. He also needs to have his computer fixed... Hmmmmmmmmmmmm......

Hi michael,
hmm.. now this is the kind of response I was hoping for. Has he done work on your excursion?
I live in Arcadia is right next door practically. I havent ordered anything yet, but will be shortly. Most likely a K&N Gen II air intake kit.
If he emails me we can swap some contact information and maybe i can help him out with that computer issue regardless of the install of some parts..
