Im going to pickup my new Excursion tomorrow
Its an '05 6.0l 4x4 Limited.
options are;
4x4 Trailer Group
Engine Block Heater
Rear seat entertainment DVD

The question for the board is what comes with the truck?
My last vehicle was a Tahoe Z71 which was bought the same day my cousin bought his Avalanche from a different dealer. Both had tow packages. His had trailer light adapters that mine wasnt delivered with. I went back to my dealer and they said there were a few boxes that should have come with my truck. Turned out they forgot to give me they wire harness adapters, cargo nets, and inserts for the rear cupholders.
If you guys can give me an idea what to look for I would appreciate it.
Dealer is 100miles away so I dont want to go back.
Thanks

Wire harness for the brake controller should be in the glove box. I don't remember mine
coming with anything else other than paperwork.

remote and two wireless headphones for dvd...
manuals (obviously)
front floor mats
second row floor mats
and probably rear carge mat depending on model...
cargo net - which u will never use...

should have rubber insert for dash cubby hole and bottom of center console....

going to sign for mine tonight that I got Saturday and they best have all that

the engine block heater is standard - the charge is for the cord to the block heater from the front bumper...

and should have a little pgtail with instructions for the trailer hookup....
but I've got three spares from the different ones I've gotten and not used

Went thru the final paperwork yesterday -
they filled it up and detailed it....
then we could see the scratches from being out on the lot...
made sure we got a "We Owe" from a manager that listed and noting they will take care of them...

but MAN, it looks sweet cleaned up....
of course it's raining for the first time in 3 months heyer and so I can't take it out of the garage since they just detailed it yesterday

OBTW,
said they couldn't find the little rubber inserts for the cubby hole and center console, and that they, like the hood blanket, are no longer supplied...
so I said where's my old one - and took it from there...
then said they couldn't find MY dvd "stuff" and would mail it to me....
I said again... where's a new one - get it from there

Seems the DVD remote, headphones, and batteries are shipped separately from the truck to the dealers parts dept with the VIN on the box.... so they borrowed someone elses

Wish me luck.

picked up the new Ex today......nice ride
As compared to my Tahoe it is definatly a truck, put about 60 highway miles on coming home from the dealer and the ride is very nice. I cant wait to pull the boat this weekend. Wife drove it to dinner and she is digging it too
It wasnt a completely clean transaction however, Igot about two miles from the dealer when I realized the AC was not working. It looks like a bad vacume motor or a disconnected hose. No biggy but a little bit off a buzz kill when your picking up your new rig.
Ill star another post and see what you guys think.
