I checked the liftback weatherstripping and it appears to be of the same construction as the front 4 doors. Lift the bottom kick plate which is held in by snaps to expose where the weatherstipping ends meet at about the middle.The entire weatherstripping removes as one piece which makes it easier to lay out on the ground to insert the 1/4" clear tubing.

Scott,
I have modified the bumpers almost everywhere. Seems like tthere are places where bumpers were intended to be--but are not there. Has worked well!
