Oops,
sorta a leading question - on SOME forums that would be an instant thread war

but here you should get some fair input....

everyone has their favorite - just like which oil that use

Rancho 9000 adjustables, Bilstein, KYB, Monroe, etc...
just about anything but stock will give ya a better ride !

good luck on your decision - too bad ya didn't ask last week as my 9000's went in on my truck trade

2003 6.0L 4x4 Limited Ex - traded in (BooHoo)

Howdy Levon

The best is by owners opinion as everyone has their own favorite,we chose the Rancho 9000X shocks as we were able to get em at a great deal,we've been pleased with their performance since installation a near 3 years ago.

As John stated almost anything is better than the bouncy stock shocks

Had a 2000 X, never towed anything with it but family....Installed Monroe Reflexx shocks w/stock wheels and GoodYear 305's....Instant ride difference but still smooth and nice enough to maintain the smooth ride w/o a stiff feel.... Like Bill and JohnBoy said, you can and probably will get a many different responses , all boils down to personal preference

I have a 2000 X and installed some Bilstein shocks and the ride was sooooo much better. It was day and night difference. Ordered my from www.eshocks.com. Whatever you get will be better than stock. Got Firestone air bags on the way and that should help even more. Good luck.

Later...
