I've heard recently that Ford is adding some extra X production this fall.
Any truth to this?
If so....
1. Are they adding production to meet last minute orders put in by dealers before balance out?
2. Are they just adding production for no specific reason?
* I was planning on buying a new X this spring/summer but unfortunately need to put it off until winter or spring of '06 at the earliest! Ford isn't gonna make me wait for a Dmax Burb are they?!

Lance? Are you aware that Excursion production will come to an end very soon? Not just the '05 model year, but ALL Excursions. If you want a new one, you better hurry. Come winter or spring '06, there will nothing but used Excursions.
My guess is that if production has actually been extended, then it's probably to fill a bunch of orders received late in the game. There will be no 2006 Excursion. (I sure wish Ford would make me eat that last sentence.) |

I just bought mine because I was relatively sure there was going to be no more production and the prices are good right now. There are also quite a few '05's on the lots atleast in my area and with the fuel prices (I guess) they dont seem to be moving. Unless they bluffed I would say this is it.

Yes I'm completely aware the the X is history this fall.
Unfortunately I can't swing it soon enough but thought extra production might prolong things enough that dealers will have them on lots long enough until I am ready to buy.
Doesn't look like that will be the case though.
It'll have to be an F-250 or Suburban........ |
