Can some tell me how to get access to the rear door and cargo area speakers. My speakers make a cracking sound and I need access to them. I have found if I take them apart and clean the connections, they stop cracking.

If the listening level is too loud, please inform the driver, so he can promptly pull over, and let you out.

Larry,
Actually it's not a tough job, just requires a lot of patience as you can't get in a hurry. The rear doors-first-pull up the little panel on the arm rest where your door and window controls are. There is a screw under there you have to remove. Also remove the cover on the door light at the bottom as there is a screw there. Disconnect your controls from the their wiring harnesses and the entire door cover slides up and off.
Cargo area-take out the third seat. Start removing the trim around the door.Baseplate and all simply pry up. Do be careful as Bill said and watch for any little clips. I can't remember but I think there may be some metal keepers for the panel to snap into. Pull back the carpet on the sides in the cargo area. I don't remember if there are one or two screws on either side on the floor holding the base of the panel. At that point you should be able to slide the panel back enough for access.
I replaced all six of my speakers as they aren't high end stuff--boldly emblazened with "Made in Mexico"--cheap paper!! I placed Kenwood KFC-X688C Speakers--220 watt with a synthetic fiber body to them. I run them off the factory head unit--quite an improvement. You can use any number of replacement spekers--just go with something good so you don't have to revisit them. I added a powered tube subwoofer--still off the factory head unit--sounds great.
