I have just bought my 4th and last (sorry to say) Excursion Limited. I have had the 5.4, V10 and this is my second 6.0. This Mineral Gray 05 is really a 'Plain Jane' without even pinstripes. Other than wind dams, fender flares, and window rain deflectors, what have you guys done to 'doll' up your X? |

The Mineral is a GREAT color when shiny - just like the black is when dolled up!
Get someone to do the complete detail and you'll be stunned how no longer plain jane it is !!!
Had a bud that did the "clean up" of new cars come out and detail it and it made my paint look about 10 foot deep...
as far as Exterior upgrades...
Depends on how far ya wanna go with it....
I'm not one to pimp out my ride, but the right upgrades can make it unique...
a tuner to make it run better,
exahust to make it sound better,
the Ford rear window deflector looks great on my buds Ex...
larger tires and wheels to fill out the wheel wells...
there's a few lifted Excursions running around here that are awesome, but not sure of the functionality of that
the sky's the limit

What ? There are Excursions that aren't lifted. Not to worry, they'll grow up someday.
Just kidding... I do have a 4" lift & 35's on mine, but I do alot of hunting. Its nice to be able to take the whole family & the dogs along when I feel the need to get into the great outdoors. I have mud on the roof from this weekend. Was able to completely forget about work!

New valance w/ fog lights
APC projector headlights
Clear corners w/ blue leds
1 peice billet grille
bug guard
chrome fender flares
aftermarket rims and tires
billet antenna

Monsta - After looking at the graphics link, I must interpret PHAT this time as Profusely Horrid And Tasteless ... especially if such items were applied to an X. (Disclaimer - I mean no offense to anyone who actually likes that sort of thing. It just ain't my cup o' tea.) |

I'm with LANDYOT !!!; my reaction after checking out that link was "you've got to be kidding" !!!
(That look would however probably appeal to the fella I saw the other day (first "felt" with the subwoofers approaching, baseball cap on sideways but off course!) with what looked like "Bullwinkle" antlers grafted to the trunk of his "kewl" ricer- couldn't tell the make- they all look the same to me!!.
Nuthin personal "Monsta", I suspect your suggestion was posted with a "twinkle in the eye".javascript:emoticon(' ');
I'll stick to my "boring" monochrome Limited appearance packagejavascript:emoticon(' ');

It was...decals are for fags.
I've been pondering this.........
I think black wheel flares (assuming it's a 4x4) would look nice, break up the body lines a tad and give it a meaner stance. Plus, it's not the same ole "billet grill and stick on chrome door handle" look.
I'm not into sticking plastic stuff all over my truck (anymore... ) so I couldn't suggest bug deflectors and such and even suggesting wheel flares is hard (since they're plastic). But I put some Ford flares on my 03 Expy after I painted them black and it changed the whole attitude of the truck.
How cool would your truck be if all the Limited cladding was black! Plus, it'd be the only one like it in the world...unless the other guy reading this does it first.
