Found the top speed limiter today

Man...it feels pretty low. 97 MPH with an 5mph optomistic speedo. I wasn't even really trying. This buggah is a bit faster (quicker to top speed rather) than my last Excursion.

Heck...I really don't need to go that fast on such a large truck. I had to pass a few cars though. Feels odd when you hit it.

Yep - it is an odd feeling....
especially since our fuel gauge goes down as fast as the speedo goes up

If there are occasions I NEED to go that fast or faster....
I want to be ABLE to go that fast...
it won't be for long, but it would be necessary !!!

so I got a tuner to turn it off....

I really is! We were travelling at an indicated 85mph last night. It seemed that there was so much more left. It was quite comfortable too.

I hit that thing almost daily. If you're not doing at least 85 here on some of the highways you're holding up traffic.
Wish the hypertech would have removed the speed limiter.
