When the weather gets cold my left (drivers side) rear barn door doesn't want to latch all the way. When you shut that door (which is the first one) it catches the first latch, but won't catch the second to shut tight no matter how many times I close it or how hard I shut it. When the weather is warm I don't have this problem.
Any suggestions? |

Spray the latch mechanisms with some silicone/lubricant or WD40,it always works for us at least

mine does the same because i have a 10" sub in it so the extra weight makes it bounce out and not catch the second latch. i have to hold the door tightly as i close it kinda hard. dont just swing it shut. try forcefully holding pressure against it while you close it. works for me anyway.

is it lined up ok ?
maybe it is out of alignment and the warm temps allows the weatherstripping to flex enough to allow it to move up or down slightly and still latch...
May also be that the weatherstripping is getting rigid and not allowing it to latch ?
Maybe lubricate that and see if it helps.... more so on the sides, but also on the top and bottom..
