Anyone know of an aftermarket cabin air filter for a 2000 EX that didn't come with one from the factory?

All I know of is the cheesy ones that adhere to the top of the cowling just below the windshield.

You getting too much smoke and junk coming in with the heater on?

Exhaust fumes are terrible on any setting but max AC.Even a cheesy one might help.

To prevent the outside air from entering the cabin while getting heat is on my PowerStroke Diesel is I pull the vacuum lead off the coolant shutoff valve and plug that vacuum line end.

Now you have MAX AC with full heat capabilities!

Having to breathe in nasty carbon monoxide fumes and other airborne stuff was always annoying to me as well.

Shot you an email too.

There's no OEM filters made for the Excursions but the only fix is to have the MAX AC kick heat out.

I took a couple pics yesterday of the mod done on the 7.3L but it shouldn't be much different on the 6.0 or Gasoline powered Excursions.

Let me throw together a quick how-to and I'll post it up.

There is also a mod floating around about cutting a furnace filter to fit in the space where the HVAC system "breathes".

I imagine it wouldn't be a very detailed "mod" and that anyone could do it. Maybe someone here should check it out since I don't have access to furnace filters. Then again, any filter used in a building's HVAC system could seemingly work if you could get it to seal properly.

Being waterproof would be another challenge, though...
