I have beed denied warranty by my dealer because I have mods on my truck. Never fear, The Attorney General is here. This type of treatment is illegal in the US and my state. The dealer was contacted advised of there wrong doing. I was also contacted and wecomed to the dealership. Pretty cool huh!! I expected to file my claim # and never hear from them again. This took 1 month. We don't have to take crap from the dealers!! |

This was more stress than anything. After I found what my rights were at the Federal and State level it was all down hill. I filed on line and the case worker called me to keep me up to speed. |

They were grabbing for anything. The biggest part was my hometown dealer had made a call to dearborn and marked my truck with a warranty void status. Customer service says this is not reversable. This is one point I'm trying get help on from the BBB. Some of my mods I'm real proud of and since it didn't come from a store in there eyes its bad. My custom intake is polished. They could find it in the dark. If they poked around and knew what they were looking for they might find the EBPV and ICP mods. They would have to remove the corrigated jacketing first. I have never gone in to see them without pulling the programming out and cycling the engine a few times to clear its head. |

What warrantied problem did you take it in for?

Was pretty typical with the 7.3L's,I keep an extra set of the revised O-rings in the toolbox for the JIC day

You would love to talk with my dealer. They said the EBPV set up as an exhaust brake caused it. I used it dry one time. The best part was the scolding for the crank case vent. The turbo needs that oil for lubrication!!! And to think I wanted them to do warranty work. |

I don't want to sound like a braggert but I have an update on warranty. Today I was awarded my second win against Ford thru thr BBB. I had my truck towed in dead. The dealer replaced the PCM and said I had to pay because I have mods. The PCM was not the problem. My truck went 300ft from there shop and died again. I towed it to a different dealer who repaired my truck under warranty with a new CPS. The BBB arbitrator sided with me that there wasn't probable cause for the PCM to be replaced and there was no proof or second opinion that the PCM was even bad. Keep good records of what is said. Get the dealer to put it in writing. I found in both of mine that the dealer will hang himself. Just be sure you are there to watch. |
