Where have you folks put your extra switches? I have a airbags switch that I need to install, and now, another electrical switch. (I'm putting my gauges on a under cubby triple gauge pos from Autometer.)
I'm thinking on the right side of the steering column in the fuse panel cover.
Any body gots ideas?

Try the panel right below the light switch. You can get in behind it if you remove the fuse panel cover under steering column. My fog light switch is directly below the headlight switch so I can find it at night & the big lights are just to the right about 2 ". Good luck!

How about removing the trash-bag hook, and making a panel that fits there? A buddy did that for a couple rows of switches in his F350. On the downside is they're a little far from the driver seat.
I mounted my four door-ajar cancellation-switches behind the fuse panel, but can reach them from the driver seat with the panel in place (out of sight). |

There is also a part available from Ford for installing "Upfitter" switches. It is a faceplate that covers the left side of the cubby just right of the steering wheel and gives you 4 switches. Some minor modification needed for an "04 or older.
Do a google for "upfitter switch superduty" lots of info. |

Think about the USE of the switch....
Let's not have another switch like the seat heater switch where u have to take your eyes off the road, lean over, twist around and HOPE to hit it before you hit a tree
but the frequency you want to get to the swtich should dictate where you put it...
my 03's driving light switch was placed right on top the steering wheel since I turned them on and off so much....
just a thought
good luck and maybe do a dummy switch to test the location ?

You're welcome. That's the way I'll go. There's so much info out there on it. There's eveen a site that sells the whole kit. I didn't post it though as I'm not sure about the sponsor stuff. If a site sponsor has an equiv I trust somebody will post it.
If you need the link email me.
*edit* Oops! I see you found one. I also found a post telling how to make the switches momentary. |

housedad - you refer to an airbag switch. Is this to disable the passenger side air bag? If so, I'd be interested in knowing how to do this. |

Good eye SZ. I thought it was all but impossible to do this. |

Wrong airbags.
I want the upfitter switches to handle various electrical loads. The airbag switch that I refer to is for my Firestone Ride Rite airbags. |
