I have a 2005 Eddie Bauer 6.0 diesel and it came with every option except the DVD player.

I can't install the headrest DVD monitors because my front seats do not have removable headrests. The seats are one piece.

I want a nice clean looking installation. Can anyone offer any suggestions?

Most folks if they want it clean and have dual monitors install them in the headrests or for temporary use hang them from the headrests like we do.

A GOOD upholstery shop can still do it in the one piece seats...

but the old carpenter adage of measure twoce and cut once is changed to ...

measure FIVE times and know what the heck you're doing

Try doing some searches online. I found some very clean install options when I was buying mine, but ended up finding an X with a TV, so I didn't have to install one.

I found some that will replace the overhead console, looked like a factory option, this was the cleanest install I saw.

Good luck

I went with this:
http://www.mobilevideo4less.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=MV&Product_Code=OHPECS00A&Category_Code=MDSUVPKG

10.4" center screen. All 6 of the full time back seat passengers like it a lot.

You can do a little better on this.

I have the factory DVD system but don't like the small screen. I don't want monitors in the reclining middle seat headrests so I'm going to remove the rear DVD player/air controls/monitor and use the factory mounts to affix a leather covered 1/4" medite board and a http://www.clarion.com/us/en/products/2006/multimedia/overhead_monitor/OHM156/us-en-product-pf_1134643389356.html with a http://www.clarion.com/us/en/products/2006/multimedia/multimedia_source_units/VRX765VD/us-en-product-pf_1134643389344.html in the front. I'm also going to put in some http://www.compare123.com/Electronics/Consumer/Automotive/Car_Stereo/Speaker_Enclosures/SP2195780.html and replace the factory door speakers with a true midbass driver. I haven't figured out a center channel setup yet...

Before we had our 05 with the stock rear dvd, we used a portable for the granddaughter....
stopped the "I can't go in - wanna finish my movie" discussions
she could take it with her
