So, after a week of running great, she starts stumbling and running rough again. I also notice a smell coming from the exhaust. Like it's burning alcohol...atleast I think that the smell was coming from my vehicle. Anyway, I start poking around and find that the connector on the #7 cylinder is loose. I tried to plug it back but found that the connector itself was broken. When I was changing the plugs I found some black pieces of plastic surrounding the plug in the #7 hole and had to dig them out before being able to get the socket around the plug. Now I know where it came from. I checked some of the other injector connectors and found a few more broken. I guess they were broken by a careless mechanic previously. Any clues to where I can scavenge several connectors? I don't see a need in replacing the whole wiring harness and the injectors look OK.

If you go to the site www.motorcraft.com and search connectors you will find pdfs of all the ford connectors with the part nums. You should be able to go to your local Ford dealer adn order what you need. Chances are its either a WPT-159 or WPT-372.

Scrolling through the Wiring Pigtail Catalogue, it seems the WPT-159 would be the match. The 372 is for the V-8 engines. The fuel injector connectors for the V-8 and V-10 are different. But thanks for putting on the right path.
