My a/c only works on max a/c. any other position of a/c, vent or heat is heat only. and hot heat w/ no control on temp selector. I have checked fuses, opened glove box and looked for loose connections. As well as under hood for any vacuum line problems. I can't find anything. I have also taken the dash apart and checked connections behind a/c controls=nothing loose.
I don't want to waste my time at Ford if it is simple. What am I missing? I posted this on thedieselstop website too.

I'm going to take a swing at the Temperature blend door actuator control & Temperature blend door.

If you have the EATC(Electronic Automatic Temperature Control) then may possibly be the electronic blend door actuator motor or there's a general circuitry issue.

Which Climate control system you have? The manual setup with the knobs or the Digital display(EATC)

Don't forget to swing by SuperDutyDiesel.com as well

I have the temp knobs. I checked to see if the floor/vent/defrost door works and it does. the vaccum door for max a/c works, but I think it must be the electric door that is not moving. Any way to test it?

thanks
Mike

If you don't have electrical diagnostic experience this may be a job for a local Auto Electric shop in your area which there should be an abundance of since you're in Mesa and AC is a need during monsoon season.

My gut feeling says it's the temperature control switch in the climate control assembly thats faulty,if not that it'll be the blend door actuator located behind the glove box.
