Has any buddy on this board run the 19.5 inch tire and wheel combination? If so how did they perform. This appears like it may help with some of the handleing issues.
Thanks

Hmmm...surely the entire combo isn't 19.5", right? I've got bigger wheels on my motorcycle!
I've seen, but never talked to, guys that use those huge wheels. Seems to me that there are probably cheaper options to improve ride manners, though.

I'm not shure what aspect of the 19.5 combo you are thinking would make the differance. I had some sway at first from my 10,000# trailer. 17" wheels and e range tires with a friction sway control straighten that out. It still wasn't like my Superduty though. I crawled under the other day and gave her a half turn more toe and you can drive my country roads with you hands in your lap now. |

If you don't already have one, a hellwig sway bar will help with the handling. Landyot's radius rods will do wonders as well. If you're still running the stock shocks, you may want to look into replacing those as well. I changed out my shocks for RanchoRS9000X and installed Landyot's radius rods, and the handling of my X is greatly improved. Hope this helps.

I have to much time on my hands says the wife. My 01 didn't come with a sway bar so i got a Superduty F350 dually bar. I put the RS shocks on and built my own traction bars. The radious rods are awesome but I have an 8" lift. He told me they hadn't been designed for any more than 4" of lift. Mine floats down the road smooth and quiet. Stays in control under panic braking. It even corners good for an 8000# truck. I haven't been anywhere except under the hood and dash lately. There are so many things to do for cheap that make it run better. If you havn't heard one with the HPX line on, its music to the ears. |
