Hey guys, I have a small problem with my lights and I'm hoping someone out there can help me. For some reason my headlights seem to want to work when they feel like it. Here's the sitaution:1-when in auto lights the parking lights work but the headlights don't high or low and no DRL. 2-when switched to parking lights only my DRL work. 3-when in regular dealight position no DRL and no headlights high or low. And through it all I can still flash-to-pass. The problem used to come and go but no it won't come anymore. Thanks in advance for the info and opinions. |

Im not sure what "DRL" stands for but it sounds like you have a problem in the relay or your autolite control module. The only wierd thing I had happen with lights occurred when I put in my Sylvania Silverstars. They melted the crappy stock wiring harnesses. Suddenly I only had fog lights or one headlight and not the other. I don't know if that helps any at all but I wish you luck!

DRL=Daytime Running Lights. Mandated in Canada.
This problem doesn't sound like an easy fix. Hopefully it is just a bad module.

Hi monsta, what do you mean by module? Is it something that can be tested? Do you think it could be the light switch itself? Thanks for the input. |
