In the 30's this morning and started fine but when I shut it off and climbed out, I could smell diesel. Sure enough, a very small drip on the pavement underneath the engine. I had this occasionally last winter but no problems in the summer. Anyone had this issue? Seems that maybe its coming from around the water separator but can't be sure. Definitely from the top area of the engine. Any ideas appreciated.

I just don't know why it would leak just when it's cold...

The O-rings on the drain may have hardened up and retracted in size just enough to permit a trickle of fuel by.
Call Garrett at Pure Diesel for the $10 kit.

That's a great idea...would they only leak though when you started it up? Mine doesn't leak at all until startup...

Thats correct, fuel pressure builds up in the filter bowl after the key is turned to start(listen for fuel pump noise/humm) and the engine is running.
Typical pressure in the fuel filter bowl I'd assume would be in the 52-65 psi window thus the minor leak.
