Folks,
I'm a newbe to this site and would like to know how difficult it would be to add a pair of fog lights to my truck. I've explored the price of OEM and they are in the $250 range. Is there a less expensive yet quality pair available? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
I bought my ride in August (used) and absolutely adore it. I've had two Chevy Suburban previously and this is just a much better piece of machinery. It pulls my boat as if it isn't there, and rides comfortably to boot.

Welcome Neighbor! Glad to hear you like the ride. As you can see in my signature below I have improved a already nice truck to a higher level. You will learn everything you will every need to know about your "X" here. I live on the other side of the Key Bridge.
I have seen large lights on bull bars and push bars. I have seen lg. lights on the bumper and behind the grill too. I just got a set from AutoZone and will try to mount them where ford put there's. They are about the same size or a inch bigger and round($44). I might not be able with the front mounted hitch, then I will try somethings else I guess. I hope I helped some

FWIW, I removed the tow hooks and put in a pair of Hella 550s. I like the look.

I hava a 2000 v-10. I too have a front reciever hitch that i put my winch in. I mounted my lights behind the grill at the top to shine over the winch. grill does not impede the light that i noticed. Next is a set of super offroaders mounted to the winch tray so they will remove with the winch. |

I have been looking for a direct Ford replacement light to keep the factory look, as well. I am ordering a set of Hella 450 driving lights to mount directly below the tow hook cutouts. I would like to have fog lights for the other types of weather also. Here in TX, you have to be prepared for anything, anytime. I do a lot of night driving, and the factory headlights are just not enough. I will be installing the Sylvania SilverStars in all the lamps soon.
I was planning on mounting the Hella 450's to a short pc of steel, and then mount that to the underside of the anti-Yugo protection bar, behind the fascia.
thx
