I purchased a center jump seat for the front of my EX to replace the center console which I call the Ex-hole, due to the fact that it swallows many items and takes a recon mission to recover. My problem or question to you experts is how can i remove the armrests on my buckets to make the jump fit and functional? And will I need a upolsterer/surgeon to do this and make it look good? |

what you need to do is peel the learher cover forward until you can get to a hidden bolt where the arm rest pivots from. remave the bolt and your good to go |

just pell the leather back on the arm rest, starting between the seat and the arm rest.you only have to get it about 2 or 3 inches. until you can see the bolt. i had this done on my drivers side arm rest.had it widened and legthened for a more comfortable right arm resting postion. |

However, the armrest stop is welded (if I'm not mistaken) to the seat frame. You can remove the armrests easy, it is that stop that might have to be cut off. Until then, you will not be able to raise the back of the "jump-seat".

Where did you buy your jump seat? Aftermarket or stock? Do you know if a truck jump seat will fit the excursion? |

I was thinking of doing the same thing to my Ex. Let us know how you make out. Mine has the cd changer in the counsel and the rear radio controls in the back- how are you dealing with those?
Whose jump seat did you use? Maybe you can post some pics.
Thanks and good luck with your project! |
