I have a problem with my 2000 excursion going through CPS sensors like its going out of style. I've had the truck for almost 2 years, bought it with 93k, now has 165k, I'm on my 4th or 5th CPS sensor, the last one went in September and now again today, I ran a scan on it cause the truck wouldn't start and came up with the po340 code for a CPS. Tow truck came to take it to the dealer and I tried to start it just for the heck of it and it wanted to start but the batteries seemed like they were almost dead. Any suggestions on why this keeps happening.

Just thinking out loud but maybe your wiring isn't the greatest and it shorts out the unit?
