For the first time in memory, I got a bunch of hand tools for Christmas!!!

It was even most of the ones that I had been hinting at! (although the hints were with catalog pages ripped out, circled and pasted around the house for months)

At last! A really decent group of tools to choose from. Been slowly buying for years, but I never thought I'd ever see it complete.

Now, the only thing I want is a good Mig welder. I have a Lincoln Square wave 175 tig now, but mig would be nice.

Well, Merry Christmas & congratulations! Those who do not perform their own wrenching often cannot appreciate that tools are like an investment ... you'll use 'em again & again.

You want a good MIG machine? I've got a Miller 210 ... dual bottles ... uses 33# wire spools ... and can be rigged to have BOTH a regular gun and a spool-gun connected simultaneously. What I want is a TIG machine. I do have a little buzz-box welder that has a scratch-start TIG, but it does not compare at all with a high frequency start TIG. Mrs. Landyot wants a whole-house generator. What I'm contemplating is a trailer-mounted welder/generator that can handle MIG, TIG & GMAW.
