Gearman or any one else, I want to be positive that the "X" has (2) tranny coolers. 1 is in the radiator and the 2nd is a seperate unit outside the radiator. Time is coming to tow with the "X" and want to safe, I have installed a tranny gauge too.

birdman, I have been thinking about the T gauge also. Did you do the work yourself? Where/how was it hooked to the tranny. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks-Brad |

first of all,do you know if your radiator has a cooler?check it,its a must.(one of Ford screw ups on some models)if your radiator doesnt have a cooler, get a radiator that does.second, the best cooling can be achieved with parallel coolers(after the radiator)heres how it works;2 auxilliary coolers, the cooler line that comes out of the radiator(goes to the air cooler should be teed as in a brass block with 3 holes)one line coming from the rad.the other 2 going to their own separate cooler.the lines coming out of the 2 separate coolers again are teed(another brass block with 3 holes, each cooler delivers to the block and third hole delivers back to trans)hope you guys didnt get mixed up.this is the ultimate cooling for your trans.its a pita doing this but nothing works better period.remember,if you dont have a cooler in your radiator you will crash a trans in cold weather(cold is sometimes worse than heat)change the radiator to an updated one.some of this may sound fuzzy reading it,it was fuzzy writing it.i can answer your questions by phone 310 674 4400

Well, I think I'm confused! Any chance you could do a quick drawing in "Paint" and post the pic? That would make sense to those of us who are visually oriented.
