Is running the bio kind of like when you go to synthetic oil, once you go with it you should keep running it? Can I run a a few tanks of bio diesel and then one non regular bio? Would this cause any problems or issues? I just don't think I can fill up every tank with bio.

You can use BioDiesel whenever you like, the only thing you'll notice is possible increased engine noise, lower performance, higher EGT's,etc when running straight ULSD fuel.
If you do run a tank or two of BioDiesel make sure you have a fuel filter handy to change after the BioDiesel has run through as all the varnishes, dirt, junk, etc will wash free which ends at the filter.

Hi Brian,
Welcome to the forum. So, where are you finding B20 in this area? I live in Manassas and work in Tysons & Herndon areas. I'd love to find a place that sells biodiesel in this area. I'd rather be making it myself, but I just plain don't have the time to gather and process 30-40 gallons a week.
I've been running the Rotella 15W40 all year round on my 2001 PSD ever since Koons stopped doing the oil changes for free.

Hey Jim,
I found the B20 online thanks to a link from Bill "CPH Mustang". I have not had the chance to fill up with the stuff but hope to do so this week.
The link for local stations is: http://www.biodiesel.org/buyingbiodiesel/retailfuelingsites/showstate_byblend.asp?st=VA
The closest one for me may be Arlington for B20 or Leesburg for B10 but it looks like there may be a few farther west closer to your home base. Bill said that just 1/2 tank of B20 made a huge difference so B10 may be enough.
One owner on this forum (I think its "Oil Pig"), is happy with the 5W40 synthetic from Rotella. Sounds like this expensive oil might add a few MPG and help with cold weather start ups.
The 15W40 looks like honey when you pour it out of the jug in cold temps.
I will make another post as soon as I can fill up with the B20 or maybe B10.
