How prone are our LSD's to failure? I deep snow mine doesnt seem to want to activate.

Most will describe the OEM limited slip as a limited GRIP differential. I've found once over a certain speed (like the snow and spinning) the LS unit won't engage. Usually a tap on the brake can help lock it up.
