The other night i went to my Christams party, it had been raining pretty good. we jumped in and drove over to a friend i hit the button to roll down the pas. side front window and it started to go down really slow. then stopped. i heard the relay under the dash click then i rolled it back up. so i tried the other windows and they acted like the worked fine. well later i tried them again and none of them work. Everytime i hit any of the 4 window buttons on the drivers door only all dome lights and step lights go out for around 15 seconds then a relay under the dash clicks back on. I do notice that the drivers side door switch lights are the only ones off. all other doors the buttons lights are on. I tried hitting the window switches on the other doors to see what happens, They do do a thing. they dont trip the relay under the dash like the drivers door does if the hit any of the window buttons.
Awhile back after changing the door lock acuators on all 4 doors the pas. side window seemed to go up in down slower than the other windows and wobble a little bit going down. i kept putting it off to take the door apart again. So i wonder if the motor was drawing to many amps, crapped out, or maybe screwed up something in the drivers door switch pad for the windows?
I have looked at all fuses under the hood, and under the dash. none blew. I've figured out the third big relay down under the dash is the one that is reseting, tried a new one, still does it. i think the one of the small relays right above it like the first one clicks also. so tried a new one there still does it.
Another thing i just tired on the drivers side button panel was hitting the power miror switch and it also trips the relay then comes back on after 15 sec.
i do have a viper remote start alarm but they said it should'nt have anything to do with it. /?
