So im looking to buy an excursion here in town but think he's asking alittle too much.. need some opions! here is the add.

Hello everyone, I have a 2000 Ford Excursion Diesel limited 4x4. Here is a list of the major upgrades.

-12" suspension lift with custom ordered leaf packs from california
-dual aluminum rebuilable bilstien shocks on each of the front tires
-stainless RCD racing shock mounts for the front tires
-original detroit locker in the rear
-ford factory gears (keeps rpm at 1900 at 100kph)
-upgraded warn manual hubs
-stillen front brake kit with cross drilled rotors
-custom rhino lined safari rack with mirror-image ladders
-rhino lined roof
-heavy duty rear bumper off a US army jeep w/ pintle hook
-new transmission 15k ago with heavy duty torque converter and large pan
-custom drivelines and yokes/knuckles
-newer optima yellowtop batteries (2)
-new fuel filter and water seperator
-aluminum fuel filler cover
-wheels that match the paint color
-enough clearance for 44in tires if needed
-newer turbo and belt
-brand new power steering pump
-K&N air filter
-4inch straight exhaust out the side (loud hehehe)
-leather interior with third row seats
plus much much more...

This truck has never been off road and is bullet proof. It has 225000 highway miles (used for show... machine gun seller) but it runs like new and never smokes.... I welcome to take it to any dealer for inspection. I have invested over 40k in building this truck (the components cost more then my asking price!!!). Imagine the countless hours perfecting and engineering this truck to use as an everyday driver. I would not sell it, but i am going through a divorce so it must go asap.

hes was asking 21,000 but now is asking 19,000.. things it needs
- new tires
- ball joints
-drag arm
- new springs due to all 4 corners being cracked
- front drive shaft
- front brakes

What do you think??

These tires are to big and heavy . You will be replacing the balljoints and doing an alignment every year. Not to mention replacing the $300.00 ea. wheel bearings.
I have a 6" lift on mine so I know. If you do buy it print this out so you can go back and look at it next year and see how right I was.

Based on the miles and not having a recent Oil analysis report for the engine's health, the size of the vehicle, anticipated repairs, etc I wouldn't offer a dime over $10k.

I'd look for something else that has a stock suspension under 200k miles and never modified performance wise. There's plenty better Excursions out there with less risk

It needs a front driveshaft!?

If you plan on lowering to more manageable levels, I;d say it's not a bad deal. Springs are cheap and are everywhere, as are the other parts it needs.

Keep it sky high and it'll be costly to replace/maintain stuff on it.

ya the front drive shaft needs replaced cause of the yoak being too short and slipping the spines,
springs are just over a grand to have fixed, they are 1 ton springs..

yes i would be keeping that height, will be used to promote my bussiness as well as pleasure..

anything else you guys can think of?
