new to the club and to ownership of these magnificent machines. mine is an 05 xlt.
the issue i seem to have is oil use. this v10 will consume 2+ quarts within 3000 miles.
the motor has less than 75000 mile. i purchased the vehicle used with 14400 on the clock.
i am looking for any ideas or suggestion to stop or even slow this oil use. the truck has been serviced at ford from time of purchase. 5w20 synthetic blend as per ford specs. i also purchased an extended warranty to 100000 miles. extra care i think. just want this ride to last, even the wife likes it!

I have a 2000 ex limited. it has over 250,000 been extensive rodeo/horse hauler and until 06 we suffered severe oil loss and then the new oil tech had me meet him off site and we added lucas. no more every month oil changes i was actually able to get three to four. instead of 1 qt at changes i had 5 1/2 quarts at changes. (left in vehicle) give it a chance. worked for me.

I am just me

I would be tempted to reply by asking why they need to know. Do I owe them an answer? Nope!
