Hello eveyone. I'm a proud owner of a 03' Eddie Bauer 7.3L Powertroke . I am new to this forum and the X but not to Ford Powertrokes. I love my new X and there is only one problem with it, the previous owner, smoked in it , not to offend anyone who smokes I did for 15 years. Does anyone have a fool proof way of getting rid of the smell. If I steam the headliner will it sag (gigidi). I wouldn't mind so much except I have a beautiful baby girl and a wife and I don't want them to be uncomfortible in the X. Thank you for your time family . |

An ozone generator might do the trick if one can be located for rental or if a local fire/smoke damage restoration company like ServPro might be contracted for the task.

I installed charcoal activated prefilters over the front and rear air intakes for the HVAC system to help remove any odors from vehicle natural aging.

Thanks Bill I looked around and found one I can borrow. They also suggested "Bombing" if it doesn't work but I don't know if that would be safe for the baby. Thanks again though. |
