Hey everybody!
I'm pretty mechanically inclined, but I'll be damed if I can't figure out how to get the plastic fender guards off. I want to remove all the plastic body trim. All the little plastic phillips head screws don't seem to want to un-thread and come out. Can anyone clue me in? Do they need to be drilled out?
Thanks

if I remember correctly these 'look' like philips screws.!
but in all actuality they are not.
From what I have see there are meant to be pushed in/started with a philips driver, but are not able to remove the same traditional way
What you can do if you are able to get behind the panel is push it back through from the inside
YUP, i know it sounds crazy but it is the only way I have been able to remove them
Once the head is pushed out, then the two sides can collapse and thus pull the entire plug out.

Got it,
Thanks. I was just out there with a flat head prying it from the fender, when it popped out. One down 3 to go. any ideas on the ones on the doors? are they just stuck on with double stick tape? or do I need to take the door panel off the inside and get them from behind.....?? That just doesn't sound right..... |

Door trim/cladding is taped on. Have some Goo-Off handy.
