Hello everyone. I am in the process of purchasing a 2005 V10 Excursion XLT from a dealer. The truck is in excellent condition all around. It's black and below the side molding it is a graphite color (dark Grey). I asked the dealer about this and he said it came from Ford this way, but other than an Eddie Bauer I've never seen a 2 tone Excursion, and I am unable to find any literature that mentions this color scheme. Can anyone help me out with this, my concern is that it may have been an after market paint job. ( carfax was clean and mileage is 45K)
Thanks
Joe in NC

Lots of Excursions by me, especially the Limited models were all two-tone.

I would have liked on myself but when I bought mine, you needed to take one off the dealer's lot to get the 0% financing I wanted and diesle Excursions were hard to find. I have been totally happy with my 2002 Excussion XLT Premium though ever since and now that it's fanlly about broken in I am enjoying playing with a lot fo mods that enhance my pleasure with it.

I wouldn't get too worried about the two tione paint. If you want piece of mind, the dealer shouldn't mind if you tak it to another shop to get a thorough inspection (on your nickel of course). That is always a good idea when buying any used vehicle.
