OK, I have done brakes every year for the last three years of ownership!
first rears and then fronts
and then new rotors all the way around this year.
This took a toll on my ability to keep the sanity while driving
This truck is my boat truck only.
In over 3 years I have put less then 20,000 on it.
Everytime I let it sit more then a month, outside , you can see where the the pads form rust areas!

I have high quality Napa parts, so its not a china metal issue! well unless Napa lies to us

what my question is, is there anything I can spray on the rotors/pads during the hibernation period?
even in the summer i have seen this happen.
Unfortunatly i have not been able to find ceramic pads front and back, I did once and they were pricey to say the least! But maybe I should have bought them?

Cadmium and or Zinc plated they will not rust. Cadmium plating seems to hold up better. You have to ask your parts store if they are coated. you find this more on slotted or drilled rotors. If they are just stock replacement chances are they are neither. I would also advise not using ceramic pads on X. I've never had any luck with them, and my local parts guy said the truck called for semi mettalic anyway. I just run wagner SevereDuty pads.
When I ran the ceramic it smoked the rotors, burnt the pads and well lets just say I learned an expensive lesson to say the least. Others may say else wise. Just my experiance.

What bothers me is your putting brakes on every year. When I was running the stock rotors in the front I was doing the same thing, every year! I decided to try the power slot rotors on the front. I get about 2 years out of them. I just run the stock rotors in the rear. And use the wagner pads all the way around. Also, there is a common problem with the caliper pins sticking, and per ford lube every 15K. Well for the last 150K miles ive been using mobil one syn grease from autozone. Its not caliper grease but it has a 600 degree rating. It comes in a tube for a grease gun. It aint cheap. But let me tell you I had more problems with the dam pins stick and pulling when stopping. And warped rotors. No more sticking pins, no pullin, no shimmy cra* when you stop. LOL Change the brakes lube with mobil grease and forget about it till the next time you do the brakes.

You might next time consider power slots or something else. I just went with that brand due to cost. Compaired to other brands on the market and seem to work well for me.
