Since it's been a while since any tire and shock discussions, and I'm about ready to replace mine on a 2005 V-10 limited 4wd, I wanted to check and see if everyone is still favoring Michelin LTX tires and Rancho shocks. I'm looking for the best handling tire and the best highway ride - I do zero off road driving. All recommendations accepted.

Thanks,
Ted

+1 on the Ranchos. I had the adjustable Ranchos on my '01, and I now have Bilsteins on my '05. I'm going to dump the Bilsteins for another set of Ranchos.

+2.

I had Ranchos on my 2000. I loved the adjustability. Still do.

When I decide to swap my stockers out here soon it will be with adjustable Ranchos with the in-cab controller.

I really like my Michelin LTX AT2s!

The Rancho shocks I had on my '01 were RSX9000 models. I paid $440 for a set of four at Jeg's in May of 2003.

EDIT FOR CORRECTION:
The current offerings are Rancho RS9000XL Adjustable Shocks, and they're $104 each at SummitRacing.com ... may be priced higher/lower elsewhere.

+ 1 more on the 9000's ...
Put them on the 03 and loved that I could set them REAL soft and air up the tires real hard for the best ride and best mpg

Put 5000's on the 05 X and am still kicking myself for it....
going to 9000's from here on out !

Re Tires... it's almost getting time for me too...
got 80K on the original stock bfg's and definetly got my monies worth out of them

Hard to change from that kind of mileage, but will be entertaining ideas ! Need to fill up the wheel well a bit more than stock ones did...
