Looks like the previous owner of my 02 X had done some damage to the exhaust and I will soon be in the market for a "cat back" system.
When I check the FM site for an 02 X with v-10 I find nothing. System for the 7.3 diesel but no listing for the v-10.
Am I correct to assume the system for 99-04 F-250 would fit?
If so, is the one piece unit #17345 worth the extra $90 over the multi piece unit #17229?
Anyone have any other options I should look into?

A cat back from an F series WILL NOT work unless modifications are made to it. Save some dough and just replace the muffler. I can post a link for a bunch of V10 sound clips with various set ups if you would like.

Main reason I was looking for Cat back options is my existing tail pipe is screwed up.
PO damaged and and done a hack job on the repair.
Looking at JEGS and Summit site, I see Gibson, Dyno Max & JBA as options all in the $350 range.
All about equal or should I say any that I should avoid?
All comments welcome.

Those are all reputable companies.
You may be able to save some coin by having a new tailpipe bent up for you. May I suggest going to a 3.5" tailpipe? it really deepens the tone of the V10. I have a Banks Monster exhaust from an F250 that needed some rework. The 3.5" tailpipe made quite a difference in sound.
