My 2000 PSD X only has 146K on her - just getting broken in. Use it mainly for towing my travel trailer on vacations now, and around town on the weekends. I can't imagine ever getting rid of it. That said, the drivers chair is starting to look bad. The tan leather is splitting on the seat. I have looked at replacement seat covers - even bought one off ebay. The color match prfect but the texture was completely different. So, I'm on the hunt for a good upholstery shop in the area. (If you are familiar with one in the Tidewater, VA area please speak up!). I figured I might as well do a little more. I'd like to see what might be available in custom dash kits. I saw one on a website and asked the poster where he got it but the poster never responded back. This could be a dash with gauge inserts, etc (not pillar mounted - have those). Any help is greatly appreciated.

First, Welcome to the X-Files, Bugsy! Are you located on the Peninsula or Southside? (Non-locals won't understand why those words are capitalized.)
Second, I've had a few dealings, all favorable, with Lee's Upholstery on Jefferson Ave. in Newport News. The latest was with my '05 X ... they repaired a few minor items soon after I bought it used. |
