I got a set of F250SD rear B codes for my 2001 X. All the bolts and shackles line up on the ground but they are inset and forward when mounted. Am I missing something?

I'm not exactly certain what you mean when you say "inset and forward" when mounted. I'm taking a stab in the dark here, but is it possible that you have the leaf spring packs turned around backwards?

So I went to the other side and everything seemed ok. Went to the side that as way off laid the BFH on her put some clamps in place and voala! spring are on!
Some notes for anyone doing this.
I found installing the rear hanger then centering the spring and block in place on the axle, clamping the center of the spring to the block then installing the front hanger was the best way to get everything to line up. My factory manual had it so you install the front and rear hangers then center, this proved difficult.
I got about 1" of lift in the rear and when I test drove I was blown away by the difference. Before the swap I was afraid to drive this truck over 60mph! At testing I was cruising along at 85mph and cruised right over a bridge that previously the expansion joints left me white knuckled and fearing for my life!!!
this is a great swap and Im looking forward to the front end
